Wow! I cant believe this is the last book, and the end of the series. I feel like these characters have been apart of my life for so long like family members. Every time I open up a book we're catching up.Perri weaved an amazing web of a story. I was right there with them, going through and feeling everything. I couldnt put the book down. Read in a couple of hours!
As usual Rush embodies alpha, my kind of alpha. Strong, protective, capable, loving, a boss, perceptive to his woman's feelings, committed, and will handle some ish.
I always enjoy how he has his entire families back and how he loves them. Nothing and no one will hurt them because if you try, you'll come up missing. He LOVES his woman with every fiber of his being. He's not controlling or overbearing like other book alphas. He has the sense enough to give her space and be supportive while waiting. She never has room to doubt her man.
Alika is one blessed woman. Shes been through alot that most women would buckle from. With his love and her own personal strength she overcomes it all.
This last installment had me in my feelings. I remember asking Perri in the Playhouse when she told us she was coming out with R4 is she gonna make me have violent thoughts and was I gonna once again be ready to beat the breaks off of a character. To this she just laughed. I knew it. Now after reading, yes my violent tendencies came to the forefront. I was ready to snatch that egg donor up!!!!!!! I was nervous for Alika as well as hurt for her. I understood and respected Rush taking the initiative to check things out 1st. Mama S and Carl were so loving - happy that marriage is happening btw.
Im so emo over this, but I look forward to what Perri has for us next.The and End, no story can end without it.

Finally get to have one of Perri Forrest books in my home Library, and I can't wait to read it and I can't wait to get the last three with me. I really can't believe that Alika and Rush book is over,but a least that I get to have all of them with me soon in my home Library.
This author gave the perfect ending to this series of books. She was able to reflect on the characters flalls and the positivity that they had to offer. Bringing out how a person can deceive you even when you think that you know them. Five star's across the board. Hope to read about Anika.
I loved Rush and Alika from book one. I was sad to see this series end but loved the growth and development for this couple and Alika getting the closure she needed with her family background. Great mix of romance, steam and intrigue with the twists and turns the author delivered in this final installment.
I cried. I don't think that I was ready to let Rush and Alina go but this finale was nothing short of a masterpiece. This novel was not only about romance it was about family and all the craziness that comes with family. Enthralling is the only word I can use to describe the plot. This book was filled with plot twists and suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. What a brilliant mind Perri Forest has. Kudos on s great job! Looking forward to more of your work!
This story was a wow!!! Perri really did her thing in this book!! If you haven't read the other books in this series please do so before reading this book.
I was finally happy to see Alika to find out who she really was and where she came from and no other than that fine husband of Rush Cambridge right beside her helping her fight her battles in life.
I can't give to much away but this is a must read!!! Amazing job Perri!!!
Something was missing for me. There were a few different but interconnected stories in this final book. It just didn't have that power punch that I wanted. The angst in the story didn't pull me in to be honest. I am sure others loved it just fine, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I feel that sometimes writers never leave room for the villains in their books to be redeemed ofttimes the bad guy stays the bad guy until thier demise. I do not condone grown women wanting to beat others because they felt they have been wronged. Someone being a disgusting human being does not give anyone the right to ' beat thier ass'. There was something a bit off abut the characters dialogue at times. Her is my thing I think as a race black people have come too for for us to always ' speak' like 'we straight outta the hood'. There are many black people across the country and the nation that speak quite well, we do not have to fall back into 'street/hood ' talk. Please note I have nothing against anyone's dialect but I feel that sometimes interracial writers just assume ALL black people sound the same. Anyway I digress, to me the book was an okay read nothing spectacular. Rush at times came off as an unnecessary dick, especially with the whole a Lorenzo situation. I hate when writers create alpha males that all other males fear. Let's be realistic the vast majority of men do not back down regardless of how badass the other guys appears to be, as most men love to exhibit their machismo on other males. I get that he loved his woman but geez he really annoyed me in this book. The angst that was thier Mother did not connect with me. I felt like I was reading someone's failed attempt at a reality show.
Once again Perri delivered. I have been a fan of this series from book one. So it's hard to say "see you later or goodbye" to the series. Rush is a man who loves his Alika unapologetically. He will do whatever he has to do to protect his family. But in this finale Siobhan was the woman. I absolutely loved her love for Alika. She provided the mother's love and affection that Alika needed. She also proved that messing with a mother's child can have deadly consequences. I loved every minute of this finale. Yet, I refuse to say goodbye. For now, I'm simply going to say see you later. There are some spinoff books that I foresee that will allow me to glimpse at my Rush. This series has been near and dear to my heart so I just want to tell my Perri. .....thank you for feeding my Rush addiction. Thank you for ever writing book one that soon morphed into book four. Thank you for giving me something worth reading and investing in. I appreciate you, your efforts and your dedication to giving readers quality books.
